Pre-placing parts on the PCB

By default, real-PCB automatically places any parts from the 3D PCB tray onto the printed circuit board when creating tracks and placing parts.

If you want to specify exactly where you would like a particular part to be positioned on the printed circuit board, move the part out of the PCB tray and place it on the board.

Tips for use:

• Parts are automatically placed in the PCB tray if they are first added to the 2D view of the PCB 3D space.
• You can also pre-place off-board parts, which will be connected to the PCB by a terminal block (or pads). By default, real-PCB will respect the pre-placement of the terminal block.
